Rustic Wooden Picnic Table

Picnic table with 2 integral benches, made entirely from reclaimed wood. The top and benches are made from pine scaffold boards, the legs and braces from lengths of used 4×2. This is a very solid table that will last many years.

The benches are sanded to a fine finish and protected it with several coats of outdoor preservative and decking oil so they won’t need treating again for another 12 months. This protects and enhances the natural grain and signs of distress within the wood. Let me know if you want yours left bare.

This table is held together with heavy duty coach bolts, so can be stripped down to make it easier to transport or store the table over the winter months if required.

The wood used in these picnic tables is around 3.5cm thick, giving a very chunky appearance.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s)

Some styles of dining table will strip down.  Anything with X legs will unassemble, tables with straight legs typically wont.  However we could potentially build a table to your specifications that does strip down, depending on the design and materials.  Get in touch to discuss.

Yes, everything we make is built to order and has the option to be bespoke.  Get in touch via the contact form, or give me a call on 07789 381989 to discuss.

Generally a man with a van.  There are a couple of different companies that I use, when ordering send me your postcode and I can get some quotes.  Alternatively you are welcome to collect or send someone, I’m based just south of Bristol.

Send me an email via the contact or order pages.  If you haven’t heard back in a couple of days please call/ message me on 07789 381989 as sometimes emails get stuck in my over active spam filter.

Generally no, I use Danish oil to finish the tables which is hard wearing, safe and can cope with coffee cups and food spills etc.  If you knocked or dented your table you could give the affected area a rub down with some sand paper and touch it up with Danish oil.  Given the fact that these handmade dining tables are made from reclaimed wood you might decide that any extra dents are just adding to the character!
